If you are going to play a game of gambling poker online than you must begin by learning the basics of gambling poker, starting with the different poker hands.
The basics of poker begin with the cards. You will need to understand how to read the cards before gambling. In poker your high cards begin with the ace and then followed by the king, queen and Jack in that order. The face cards are then followed in by the numbered cards starting with the ten and going down to the two. In each set of cards there are four suits (hearts, diamonds, aces, spades). Most poker games have five cards in each hand.
Here is the order of poker hands from the strongest hand to the weakest hand:
- The Royal Flush is the strongest poker hand. This hand consists of an Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and ten of the same suit.
- The next strongest hand is the Straight Flush. A straight flush consists of five cards of the same suit in consecutive order.
- The third strongest hand is Four of A Kind. A four of a kind is simple four of the face value cards.
- A Full House is the next in the value of card hands. A full house is three of one card value and two of another card value.
- A Flush which is five cards in the same suit.
- A Straight is five cards in a row from any suit.
- A Three of a Kind is three of any one card.
- A Two Pair is when you are holding two pairs of two different cards.
- One Pair is when you have two of any one card.
- The lowest hand in poker is a High Card. This is just the single highest card.
